Foundation Stands with 300 Affected Families

Providing emergency relief and support to families affected by the recent disaster. Our team distributed food, clothing, and medical supplies.

When disaster strikes, the first hours and days are often the hardest. Homes are damaged, livelihoods are interrupted, and families who were already struggling suddenly find themselves without the most basic necessities. In response to the recent disaster, the Rokeya Kobir Foundation stood beside 300 affected families, providing emergency relief and support when it was needed most.

Responding with compassion

Relief and rehabilitation for people affected by disasters is one of the core areas of our welfare service. As soon as the scale of the need became clear, our team began organising support. Our aim was simple: to make sure that affected families had food to eat, clothes to wear, and access to basic medical supplies while they began to recover.

What we provided

Our team distributed food, clothing and medical supplies to the affected families. Food support helped households meet their immediate needs at a time when cooking, shopping or earning an income had become difficult. Clothing provided warmth, dignity and comfort, particularly for children and elderly family members. Medical supplies helped families care for minor injuries and illnesses and protect their health during a vulnerable period.

Behind every package was a careful effort to reach people respectfully and fairly. Our volunteers worked to make sure that support reached those who needed it, and that every family was treated with dignity.

The people who made it possible

Relief work of this kind is never the effort of one person. It depends on volunteers who give their time and energy, on supporters who trust us with their contributions, and on community members who help us understand where the need is greatest. We are deeply grateful to everyone who played a part. Your generosity and hard work turned concern into practical help for 300 families.

Beyond the emergency

Emergency relief is only the first step. Families affected by disasters often need continued support to rebuild their lives, restore their homes and recover their livelihoods. The Rokeya Kobir Foundation remains committed to standing with communities not only in moments of crisis, but throughout the longer journey of recovery, through our welfare service, education and community development work.
